Reflection Journal #4

Masks makes the silhouette work by making the trace of the person look almost the same as the person that was cut from the picture. That way, if you missed a spot or selected somethjing other than the person, you can see and fix the mistake. I found many pictures that relate to or represent Barack Obama. I found two of his buttons, four pictures of him with either a group of people or a crowd surrounding him, and two pictures of crowds representing Obama. It wasn't easy getting the letters to trace around him. I had to adjust the size the letters, find the perfect place to place the words to the cutout so that it surrounds him perfectly, and find out how to do a color layer by asking a student who knows how. Plus, I have to separate the letters to make the lining at least 98% perfect. With my silhouette, it looks very creative and easy to make with the pictures and the arrangements. It did took a long time to find all the pictures that goes right with the silhouette, however. With the lining, since I am new to making the path of the text, it was okay, depending on how you look at it.

Lab 7- Clone stamp tool

This picture has been edited to cover the rip that was previously at the bottom left corner of the picture. From far away, it looks OK, but if you see it up close, it looks like if the grass is moving with the wind. Plus, you can't see the sprinklers anymore, unlike the previous picture, where you can see the sprinklers from up close.
